RULES OF MONOPOLY LIVE
MAIN GAME
The game starts with a host spinning the big money wheel. Your aim is to guess which segment the top flapper will point to when the wheel comes to a complete stop. Those who bet money on that segment win. There are 54 segments on the wheel:
- 48 sectors – numbers ( x1, x2, x5, x10 ). Each number pays out with the odds matching its value.
SHOW EXAMPLEYou place a $1 wager on number 10. The wheel lands on it. You will receive 1 * 10 = $10. You will also get your $1 bet back. In total, you will get back $10 + 1 = $11. - 2 sectors – “CHANCE”. The virtual Mr. Monopoly reveals a “CHANCE” card with a random cash prize or a multiplier. In the case of a multiplier, the round does not end, and the dealer spins the wheel again. If you win, the prize is multiplied by the multiplier.
SHOW EXAMPLEYou bet $1 on number 2. The wheel lands on a “CHANCE” segment. Mr. Monopoly puts a newspaper aside, gets up from his chair and takes out the “CHANCE” card with an 8x multiplier. The croupier spins the wheel again. It stops at number 2. You win 1 * 2 * 8 = $16. You will also get your $1 stake back. As a result, you will receive back chips worth 16 + 1 = $17. You can hit multiple “CHANCE” cards in a row. In this case, the multipliers will be multiplied. - 3 sectors – “2 ROLLS”. If the wheel stops on this tile, the virtual Mr. Monopoly will start the 3D bonus game with two dice rolls.
- 1 sector – “4 ROLLS”. The most desired tile. It activates the bonus game with 4 rolls of the dice.
Originally, gambling software provider Evolution had the Dream Catcher game show. There is no bonus round, just a wheel of fortune with numbers. In 2019, Evolution released Monopoly Live, which featured in-studio augmented reality and a beautifully rendered 3D bonus round. The game became an instant hit with players. Let’s take a closer look at the bonus round.

BONUS GAME
Mr. Monopoly takes the lift down to the virtual board of the classic Monopoly game. Everything is familiar here: Properties, Utilities, Railways, Taxes, Jail, GO, Free Parking, Chance, and Community Chest.
Initially, each space on the board has its basic prize multiplier from 1x to 100x. However, at the beginning of the round, Mr. Monopoly randomly places houses and hotels so that some spaces increase their prize multiplier.
Suppose the fortune’s wheel has landed on a “CHANCE” sector with a multiplier before the bonus round. In that case, the original prize odds on the Monopoly board will be multiplied by that multiplier.
A large airship with a built-in screen shows a live dealer from the studio throwing the dice. The dice are rolled 2 or 4 times, depending on the sector of the wheel that triggered the bonus round. If both dice roll the same numbers or doubles, you get an additional dice roll, just like in classic Monopoly. Many doubles can be thrown in one bonus round.

Players dread the corner space marked «GO TO JAIL» most. Doubles must be rolled to get out of prison. If you are lucky enough to get through the entire Monopoly board, all prizes on the board are doubled when you reach the GO space.
The biggest wins in Monopoly Live occur when the wheel of fortune hits the “CHANCE” sector in a row, followed by the “4 ROLLS” segment. The image below is just such a case.
First, the wheel landed on the “CHANCE” card with a 10x multiplier, followed by another “CHANCE” with a 5x multiplier. Then the wheel stopped on the “4 ROLLS” segment. As a result, all prizes on the board were multiplied by 50. It was only after all these preparations that Mr. Monopoly began his journey.

HOW MUCH YOU CAN WIN IN MONOPOLY LIVE
The highest win ever achieved in the Monopoly Live game is 9600x. This happened on 28 April 2020. The gambling wheel landed on “CHANCE” twice in a row with a 10x multiplier, and then it stopped at the “4 ROLLS” tile.
Our reader from the UK managed to take a screenshot of this happy moment. He bet $0.5 on “4 ROLLS”, and won $4800. This is the biggest jackpot of his life.

The rules of the Monopoly Live game place a cap on the maximum payout. It is $500,000 or 10,000x your stake. This limit is necessary because, in theory, due to doubles, bonus rounds can continue indefinitely and lead to the complete bankruptcy of an online casino.
STRATEGIES FOR PLAYING MONOPOLY LIVE
In our article about Monopoly Live strategies, we analysed popular game tactics. We tried to find the best one among them. Here are the main conclusions.
If you like 3D bonus rounds, we advise you to play Monopoly Live using the strategy Bet on everything except the number 5. Number 5 has the lowest return percentage, so you can always exclude it.
Suppose participation in the bonus rounds is not essential for you. In this case, you can always place your chips on number 2 only. This segment of the wheel has the highest RTP of 96.26%. In the long run, betting on it will give you the biggest winnings.
In the Monopoly Live game, the riskiest and most volatile strategy is to bet only on “4 ROLLS”. This tactic can potentially make you a millionaire in 5 minutes, especially if Mr. Monopoly has previously drawn a “CHANCE” card with a random multiplier. However, the money in your game balance may run out before that lucky moment arrives.

IS MONOPOLY LIVE A FAIR GAME?
The Monopoly Live show is broadcast 24/7 from the same Evolution studio. Therefore, all players in every online casino are watching the same thing. This allows special sites to track the history of all rounds of this game. Thanks to this data, anyone with a minimal knowledge of mathematics can verify the honesty of the game.
In our Monopoly Live statistics article, we calculated the probabilities of each wheel segment, assuming the wheel is fair and not rigged. We then took the segment statistics from the stats-tracking website over a long period of time and compared them with our calculations. They matched. So there can be no doubt about the fairness of this gambling game. You can see for yourself.
Some dishonest online casinos configure their slots to give a lower return to player (RTP). But there is no way for a casino to rig the Monopoly Live wheel.
